Zhou Yongkang convicted, goes on trial

(China Daily Show) – The former head of China’s vast security apparatus, Zhou Yongkang, went on trial three weeks ago, accused of crimes against the state.

A verdict of dying in prison was expected yesterday.

CORRECTION: The original report stated the accused’s name as being feared policeman Lavrentiy Beria. It should, of course, be Zhou Yongkang
