We Chinese: Russia Hits China with Tariffs

Forbes magazine has reported that trade officials in Vladivostok have added ‘sliding rail parts’ used in kitchen furniture to the same category as ‘furniture parts with bearings’, meaning they will now be subject to a 55.65% import tariff, creating havoc with domestic Chinese manufacturers of the components, and causing local media figures to question the validity of the “no limits” partnership between Russia and China.

“Oh my god, no. I’ll never financially recover from this.”

“First they came for the ‘sliding rail parts’, and I said nothing because I didn’t care.”

“Seems like the whole ‘no limits’ thing had a pretty shallow ceiling the whole time.”
