Hong Kong authorities have issued arrest warrants for 19 pro-democracy activists living overseas, with HK$1 million ($127,000) bounties on four of them, and HK$200,000 ($25,480) bounties for the remaining 15, for their involvement in efforts to overthrow the governments of Hong Kong and China, while HK Police have also invited them to voluntarily surrender, and to, “truthfully confess their crimes, or provide key information that helps solve other cases,” which may reduce their eventual punishment.
What do you think?
“Chan Lai‑chun at HK$200K is trading well below fundamentals. Either Ho’s overvalued at HK$1 million or there’s serious distortion in the regime-risk premium.”
“Honestly, I’d confess to anything if it got me out of this group chat with Elmer Yuen.”
“They want me to snitch? No way, I’ve seen Infernal Affairs. I know what happened to Chan.“
