We Chinese: Researchers Investigate Brine Shrimp To Supplement Chinese Food Security

Brine shrimp, already used in cosmetics and as feed for farmed fish, have been discovered in Xinjiang’s Taklamakan Desert, inhabiting waters saltier than the ocean, are seen as a potential boost to domestic food security as Beijing seeks to cut reliance on foreign nutritional imports.
