We Chinese: PLA Social Media Arm Upset Over Lego Toys Depicting Japanese WWII Atrocities

A social media account run by the People’s Liberation Army has condemned e-commerce platforms for selling toy replicas of Japan’s wartime Unit 731, saying the products distort history and insult the memory of victims of its biological experiments on Chinese prisoners during World War II.

What do you think?

“Believe me, the outrage is real. My 1,319 piece custom-build of the Tiananmen Square Massacre is getting no attention at all because of this.”

“So… are they all sold out, or what’s the deal?”

“Kids have it so easy. Back in my day, we had to recreate war crimes with pieces of bamboo and pebbles.”
