Hong Kong police have banned the mobile gaming app, ‘Reversed Front: Bonfire’, created by ESC Taiwan, which allows users to choose from various groups, including, “Hong Kong, Tibet, Uyghurs (East Turkestan), Kazakhs, Mongolia, Manchuria, Taiwan or Cathaysian Rebel factions,” or even Chinese Communist forces, saying the game encourages violent revolution and Taiwanese independence from the CCP, cautioning anyone who has downloaded the game that they could be in violation of the city’s national security laws.
What do you think?
“I chose the Red Army. Nothing more immersive than crushing your own population in 4K.”
“They banned the game before I could unlock the ‘Peaceful Dialogue’ ending. Classic CCP.”
“I played as the communist forces and still lost. Even in fiction, authoritarianism isn’t fun.”
