We Chinese: British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, Adopts Conciliatory Attitude Towards China

British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, recently backtracked on calling China a “strategic threat”, instead emphasising the term “strategic challenge” when describing the relationship between the United Kingdom and China.

What do you think?

“Obviously, Mr. Sunak doesn’t want to jeopardise his father-in-law’s InfoSys contract with Beijing, hence him folding like a cheap suit before the PLA has even asked him for anything.”

“That’s not surprising, for the Chinese are known as excellent negotiators. Have the British announced how much opium they are willing to incorporate into their economy?”

“Don’t be fooled. This is actually a pro move. Just like Narendra Modi is strategically capitulating to the PLA by ceding 1,000 sq km of the Gogra-Hot Springs area with nothing in return, so too has Sunak preemptively agreed to soften his use of diplomatic language when categorising China’s imminent subversion of Western democracy.”
