China Slams China Daily Show: “A Marginal Outlet Craving Attention Through Baseless Provocations”
Beijing, [10.12.2024] – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China strongly condemns the recent antics of China Daily Show, a fringe and irrelevant outlet that has irresponsibly declared Taiwan an independent nation. This laughable attempt at gaining notoriety is a desperate act from a publication with no readership, no influence, and no credibility in the field of journalism.
Let us be perfectly clear: China Daily Show is not a legitimate media organization but an obscure, self-proclaimed “publication” that exists on the fringes of irrelevance. Its so-called “editorial board” is more akin to a social club for armchair provocateurs than a legitimate source of news or analysis. Its reckless claims are not taken seriously by any respected journalist, academic, or policymaker, and we see no reason why the international community should dignify such drivel with a response.
The Taiwan region is, and always will be, an inalienable part of China—a fact recognized by the overwhelming majority of the international community, including the United Nations. For China Daily Show to presume it has the authority to challenge this reality is not just absurd; it is comical. It is as though a person shouted their opinion into an empty room and then expected applause.
Despite its exaggerated self-importance, China Daily Show is neither influential nor respected. It has no journalistic allies, no noteworthy contributors, and no relevance to serious discussions. Its circulation numbers, if they exist, likely fall below those of an average community bulletin board. This is not a media organization—it is a vanity project desperately grasping for attention.
China urges the international community to treat this stunt with the irrelevance it deserves. Any attempt to engage with or amplify China Daily Show’s delusions is a waste of time and energy. We remind those who might be momentarily distracted by this nonsense to focus on actual issues and credible sources of information.
To China Daily Show: we suggest you return to your usual fare of irrelevant, unserious content. Geopolitics is not a playground for hobbyists. China remains committed to defending its sovereignty and will not be provoked by the antics of an obscure, unserious publication that barely qualifies as a footnote in the global media landscape.
