In a public statement, Rosa Hwang, Executive Editor of Radio Free Asia, announced that RFA will halt news reporting across Asia due to a lack of funding—creating a vacuum in independent journalism and investigations into the region’s regimes and corrupt autocracies, and leaving Uyghur, Tibetan, Vietnamese, Korean, and Burmese audiences without access to free and fair news.
