We Chinese: North Korean Students Ordered To Gather Rocks

As the seasonal monsoon rains approach, North Korean authorities in Ryanggong Province are ordering every school-age child to dig for stones “the size of a soccer ball” in regional quarries and mines, and carry them to construction sites where they will be used to build and reinforce flood walls, although some parents are upset over children suffering injuries to their hands and feet and have kept them home during the day to prevent them from contributing to the labor project.

What do you think?

“‘Build the wall’, huh? Where have I heard that before?”

“The children yearn for the mines.”

“My kid will probably fuck up and submit rocks the size of a softball.”
