The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute has reported that China’s nuclear arsenal, now estimated at 600 viable warheads and growing by 100 annually, has tripled in just four years, although Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun insists the country maintains only the minimum necessary for self-defense purposes, while also adhering to a strict “no first use” policy.
What do you think?
“Tripling our nuclear stockpile in four years is the sort of slow, deliberate buildup any peace-loving nation would pursue.”
“My neighbor keeps bragging about his new car, but wait till he hears about this!”
“And to think, they’ve never opened any of the silos for a tour group.”
