Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi warned that a Chinese invasion of Taiwan could constitute “a situation threatening Japan’s survival” and justify deploying Japan’s Self-Defense Forces to defend Taiwan, prompting China’s Consul-General in Osaka, Xue Jian, to post the message, “the dirty neck that sticks itself in must be cut off.”
